Q. When is the Race?
A. Saturday, June 24, 2017. The 1-mile start time is 7:30am. The 5k start is at 8:00am.

A. The Race will be held at Lenox Square - 3393 Peachtree Rd, Atlanta, GA 30326.

You can still register in person at Packet Pick-up or on Race morning. Make your In-Person Registration quick and easy - print out this Paper Application then fill it out and bring it with you when you register.

Q. Is my registration fee tax-deductible?
A. No, your registration fee helps defray the costs of producing the Race and is not considered tax-deductible. However, any amount that you choose to donate above the entry fee is tax-deductible.
Q. What is included in the registration fee?
A. You will get a Race number (bib), a Susan G. Komen Greater Atlanta Race for the Cure® t-shirt, and access to the post-Race Expo and activities. NOTE: Our affiliate now incurs the cost of t-shirts. ALL participants (including Survivors) will receive only ONE t-shirt.
Q. How will I receive my Race packet including t-shirt?
A. Please come to Packet Pick-up on Thursday, June 22 or Friday, June 23 at Lenox Square, or you can pick up your number and shirt on Race morning.
Q. How long is the Race?
A. The Race is a 5K route, which is approximately 3.1 miles. There is also a shorter route option (approximately 1 mile). You may choose to walk or run either route. If you are unable to walk or run, you can still register and join us on Race day. We are always looking for people to cheer on our runners and walkers.
Q. How can I become a volunteer?
A. Our Race Volunteer Opportunities are now closed. Please consider filling out a Volunteer Application to join our Volunteer Email List.
Q. Are pets allowed at the event?
A. Pets are NOT allowed at the event due to City of Atlanta restrictions and for the safety and comfort of all participants.
Q. Are strollers allowed at the event?
A. Yes! Strollers are permitted on the Race course; however, if your child is old enough to walk and enjoy the activities in the post-Race area, we encourage you to register them as Youth participants to help cover the cost of kids activities and prizes.
Q. What if it rains?
A. Komen Atlanta holds the right to cancel or change the date or location of the Race in its sole discretion, including in the circumstance of extreme weather. It is likely, however, that the event will happen rain or shine. Please dress accordingly.
Q. Does the Komen Race for the Cure® require fundraising?
A. While not required, fundraising is greatly encouraged. Any funds given and donations received help us provide services in our community for those who need us most. Just imagine the IMPACT - If every Race participant raises just $100 in addition to their registration fee, we would bring in an additional $1 million to support local screening, treatment and educational programs in metro Atlanta!
Q. Does the money raised stay right here in our community?
A. Yes! Up to seventy-five percent of the net income from the Race stays right here in our community to fund vital breast cancer health education and breast cancer screening and treatment programs. To see a list of our current grantee programs, please visit our 2016-2017 Grantee page and visit our grantees in the Mission Village area on Race morning. The remaining twenty-five percent supports Komen’s national research and training grants program.
Q. Where do I send donations?
A. For participant tracking and donor tax purposes, we suggest all donations be made online. Check donations may be mailed to: P.O. Box 934048, Atlanta, GA 31193-4048. Please do not mail cash. For donations on behalf of an individual participant or a team, please include an Offline Donation Form with your check.
Q. Is there a deadline for fundraising?
A. All donations on your behalf that are received by June 30, 2017 will be credited to your fundraising total and qualify your for fundraising rewards.
Q. When will I receive my fundraising incentives?
A. This year we have partnered with our Sponsors to say Thank You with unique fundraising rewards to be collected at Sponsor tables Race morning. This program allows your fundraising to completely support our mission!

Q. How do I form a team?
A. You can form a team or join a team online. For more information, contact us at 404-814-0052 or email@example.com.
Q. What are the benefits of a team?
A. Forming or joining a team multiplies the fun you will have on Race day. You can create a team to celebrate a survivor or honor someone you have lost. You can also create a corporate team and get your entire company involved. To learn more check out the Team Rewards page.
Q. Do teams have to fundraise?
A. We strongly encourage our participants and teams to fundraise, though it is not required. Fundraising as a team can be fun! Click here to get a list of fundraising events your team can do and stay tuned for events hosted by our Teams Committee and Race Ambassadors to encourage teambuilding and team fundraising.
Q. Can our company pay all or a portion of our team sign up fees?
A. Yes! Just give us a call at 404-814-0052 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to set up a special code.
Q. One of my team members registered as an individual when they meant to join my team. How do they correct this?
A. Please call the Komen Atlanta office at 404-814-0052 to get this corrected.
Q. Can donations made to a team be split or shared among team members?
A. We are unable to split or transfer donations between individual and team accounts.
